Teaching Methodology
I believe that the most important thing for a beginner’s improvement is to learn to love the game. Beyond that, I train students to master openings, middle games and endgames by focusing on their thought process and how they should approach unfamiliar positions. I also work to ensure a principled base of knowledge while encouraging creativity at the right moments.

Openings
I strongly believe a good opening repertoire is crucial to succeed and improve rapidly as a player. I like to put my opponents' opening knowledge under massive pressure with white, while trying to play rock solid with black. I consider myself to be well versed in the following openings-

White: Italian, Sicilian, French, Scandinavian, Ponziani, Jobava London, Caro-kann, Four Knights and Pirc

Black: Queen's Gambit Declined, e4 e5, Nimzo Indian Defense and Slav Defense
